Media
Instructional MaterialsThe
media
collection consists of approximately 5,000 titles
and is valued at over
$1 million
dollars. Students and faculty can search (title,
abstract, series, copyright date, state standards, etc.)
the collection
and book items over the Internet. This instructional
materials collection includes video laserdisc, CD-Rom,
models, kits,
portable planetariums, and more! High-speed Internet
access in most districts allows for new approaches to delivering
digital curriculum
resources.
Currently
there are over 1,200 digitized and indexed video
titles.
These Video-on-Demand titles can be downloaded in
total or part--depending on the curriculum needs.
Internet Librarian
Often teachers
don't have enough time to research a topic and find the
resources available at
ESU 10 or on the web. If you need help locating instructional
materials or web resources, contact our Internet librarian
for assistance (308-237-2280).
Satellite Downlink
Satellite
downlink capabilities (analog and digital) are available
for use at the service unit.
Rooms for 2 to 200 people are available for viewing
a video conference.
(If you have written permission from the provider of
the program, we will be happy to record the session
for you.)
Lamination
Need something
laminated? We can laminate anything from the size of
a drivers license up to
27" wide
regardless of length! (Over 3.5 miles of lamination
material were used
this past year.)
Teacher Centers
The Teacher Centers are located
at the Grand Island Public School's Administration
building, Kearney Public School's Sunrise
Middle School, and Broken Bow School's North
Park Elementary.
The centers are equipped
with "make it and take it" equipment
(including Ellison letter/shape-cutting machines
and numerous
dies).
