Word HTML Cleaner Procedures
This procedure remove the propriatary code and other tags from Word documents leaving the basic formatting intact.
- Save the original document as a web page (File/Save as...).
Choose web page or web page filtered from File Type.
- Using your browser, go to
http://www.textism.com/resources/cleanwordhtml/index.html
- Follow the steps listed on the textism site.
- Browse to find the html file you just saved.
- Click the Proceed button.
- Slide to the bottom of the page where two windows of html code
appear.
- Click inside the top of the two windows.
- Select All (Edit/Select All).
- Copy (Edit/Copy).
- Go to your Manila web site and log in if you haven't already.
- Click on the Stories link.
- Create a new story.
- Click the Source button below the editor window.
- Click inside the editor window.
- Paste (Edit/Paste) (which will paste the html code from the
textism site)
- Click on Post new story.
- Look through the story for incorrect or unconverted code that
may need to be deleted.
